TURNING OFF LIGHTS REDUCES ENERGY COSTS
(NC) - Most people flick on a light when they walk into a darkened room in their home. When they leave, they don't always turn it off. But they might if they realized that up to 15 percent of their energy costs are consumed by lighting. Turning off lights that aren't needed cuts electricity costs. Buying and installing energy-efficient lighting products reduces these costs even more. With careful planning and informed purchases, consumers can improve the quality of lighting in their homes while reducing energy consumption. - (NC)
